Holiday in the Mountains

In the summer holiday, I went with my parents from Timisoara to Predeal by train. Predeal is located in Prahova Valley , between the rivers Prahova and Timis, at the foot of the Bucegi mountains. We lived in a room in a villa, with a terrace. The room was clean and nice and offered us a lovely view.
We ate three times a day in a restaurant. The food was very good.In the sunny days, we visited Predeal and the surroundings. One day, we went to Busteni by train and then we ascended by cable car to the "Babele" Peak. We had to wait for three - four hours until we got into the cable car because only 25 people could fit there.

Then we saw the natural monument so called "Babele" and the "Sfinx". That was very interesting. We walked there and we made a few photos. Suddenly, a very strong wind started to blow and we had to return to the cable car.

After that, we descended with the cable car at the Ialomicioara Cave. In front of the cave there was a small monastery. To enter into the cave, we had to go through the monastery. The first room was right behind the church and became a little bit steeper as you moved on more.

The cave is, in here and there, very narrow and slippery, and we had to be very careful. It is one of the largest caves in Romania and it is easily visitable because there are numerous stairs and lights, crossroads, climbs.

We went out and then we came back to Busteni with the cable car. During the descending it was a very strong wind and the cab started to move once to the left and once to the right. It was balancing in the wind just like a toy. Everybody was screaming, but everything finished all right and we returned to Predeal. We were safe.Another day, we went with the bus at the health resort "Izvorul Rece". We took for a walk in the forest and we spent there a very pleasant day.
